Squad Information
Maxwell is a competitive swimming club that develops swimmers in line with Swim England's recommendations and using the Athlete Development Support Pathway.
Starting with our Academy squads, developing from 2-4 hours of training per week, swimmers will learn the competitive rules, develop their competitive skills whilst also improving technique and stamina.
Swimmers then progress through the squad system based on achieving specific criteria. Maxwell looks at the whole swimmer when determining a suitable squad, assessing competitive ability, attendance, training ability, technical ability and psychosocial skills.
Land Training Equipment - Swimmers MUST wear trainers that support a correct foot arch and support the ankle. Shorts are also recommended for land training that takes place on poolside, and for sessions in the studio, swimmers should also have appropriate t-shirts.
