Learn to Swim Assistants Required

We have a vacancy for a Learn to Swim Assistant as listed below.  

Applicants must be aged 13 years+ and looking to gain experience in the Learn to Swim environment. We also welcome applications from those with a level 1 qualification.

It is essential that you are confident and outgoing and willing to take instruction from the teacher as well as use your own initative and be proactive in the sessions. The role will involve being in the water with the youngest swimmers encouraging and supporting them as they gain water confidence and begin to learn to swim.

- Sprowston, Friday 5.00-7.00pm, starting 1st October 

Our assistants work for the club on a self employed basis, and must have a permit to work in the UK. You will also be required to undergo safeguarding training and a DBS check prior to commencing the role. 

Level 2 Teachers Required

Norwich Swan Swimming Club are currently recruiting Level 2 Qualified Swimming Teachers for our expanding Learn to Swim Programme.  We have an inclusive approach to swimming and our ethos is to be a friendly club with a passion for helping every swimmer to achieve their full potential, whatever that may look like. 

You will be responsible for teaching swimming to swimmers aged 4-10 years old.  All our Learn to Swim lessons are based on the Swim England National Plan for Teaching Swimming from stages 1 to 6. At stage 6+ our swimmers then transition into our squads.

Applicants must be 18 years+ and hold an ASA/Swim England Level 2 Certificate in Teaching Aquatics or an STA equivalent and have a current Lifesaving Qualification (Rescue Test or NPLQ).  

Our Teachers and Coaches work for the club on a self employed basis, and must have a permit to work in the UK. You will also be required to undergo safeguarding training and a DBS check prior to commencing the role. 

If you are a motivated team player with drive, enthusiasm and excellent interpersonal skills, who can build good rapport with swimmers, their parents, the existing Swan teaching & coaching team, and our club members, then we want to hear from you.
