Norwich Swan Swimming Club

Drayton Pool Protocols

COVID-19 remains a part of our lives so we are continuing to keep some measures in place to keep ourselves and others safe for a while longer.

If your swimmer is displaying symptoms or has tested positive please do not attend lessons.

We want to ensure that all swimmers are as safe as possible whilst under our care, and to keep our teaching team healthy and able to deliver the lessons through the next few months.

Just to update you on how lessons will be running at Drayton:

  • Swimmers should still arrive at the pool “beach ready” with swimwear on under their outer clothing in order to minimise use of the changing rooms prior to the start of the session.

  • The teacher will no longer come out for you, but please avoid entering the building more than 5 mins prior to the start of your session.

  • Swimmers enter through the changing rooms and leave bags there.  If parents need to accompany younger swimmers to assist with changing they can but please keep to one adult per child and avoid bringing in siblings if possible.

  • We would politely request that masks are to be worn in the changing rooms.

  • Parents are allowed on poolside twice per term to see progress, this is at the teachers request.  However, initially for younger children or very nervous swimmers exceptions will be made.  Once your swimmer  has settled we would like you to leave and return at the end of the session.

  • You should be socially distanced if on poolside, but masks are optional.

  • At the end of the session, swimmers will proceed either to the changing rooms, if they wish to get changed (Showers are available for a quick rinse only) Or if not, then put on a dressing gown or similar and go out through the changing rooms to the exit.

  • If you leave the session MUST be on time to collect. However, please do not congregate in the changing rooms prior to collection time.
