Norwich Swan Swimming Club and Norwich High School Partnership

Swan Admin

Norwich Swan Committee are delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with Norwich High School for Girls, which will commence from September 2021 and will give the club the opportunity for growth and stability.  There will be opportunities to increase our pool time at NHSG allowing for more timetabling flexibility for our Squad swimmers.  This partnership will also enable us to expand our Learn to Swim provision on the South side of the city to satisfy a growing demand for high quality Learn to Swim lessons.

Our experienced coaches will also be working with the school to enhance their swimming provision for the pupils who will have the opportunity to progress from their school swimming lessons and clubs into the Norwich Swan Squad structure should they wish to. In the future we are aiming to develop our swimming programme further, and the High School is keen to work with us for the longer term future. The pool has recently been refurbished and will be available for use 50 weeks of the year.

Debra Smith, Director of Sport at NHSG commented “We are absolutely delighted to be working in partnership with Norwich Swan Swimming Club from September. Not only will the club gain more pool time using our fantastic facility, which is needed to maintain the momentum to progress the club beyond the National and British stage, but our girls will enjoy endless opportunities in swimming. This partnership will certainly create something unique and very special for our school, Norwich Swan, the community and above all the girls and swimmers. We cannot wait to get started!”
