About Swim Bournemouth

Swim Bournemouth was established in 2010 with an amalgamation of Ferndown Otters Swimming Club and the Bournemouth Dolphins Swimming Club. Both very successful clubs in their own right providing swimmers in the Dorset area with the best opportunities to progress from learning to swim through to national level opportunities.

The merger of the two clubs means that Swim Bournemouth benefits from having over 30 years of swimming excellence to call on. We compete in local, district, national and international competition in all age groups. Including, senior competitive and masters swimming. Swim Bournmouth has achieved recognition as a prominent source of instruction, training, and competitive support to people of all ages, abilities and levels of ambition.

Over the years, both Bournemouth and Ferndown have enjoyed being two of the top clubs in Dorset with county champions and record holders. Swim Bournmouth has national recognition for achieving National Age Group and Senior Top 8 rankings. Swimmers have continued on to represent Great Britain in both Junior and Senior Internationals.

Swim Bournemouth Mission Statement
