About Swim Bournemouth

Swim Bournemouth was established in 2010 with an amalgamation of Ferndown Otters Swimming Club and the Bournemouth Dolphins Swimming Club. Both very successful clubs in their own right providing swimmers within the Dorset conurbation with the best opportunities to progress from learning to swim right the way through to national level opportunities.

The merger of the two clubs means that Swim Bournemouth benefits from having over 30 years of swimming excellence to call on. We compete in local, district, national and international competition in age group, senior competitive and masters swimming and have achieved recognition as a prominent source of instruction, training, and competitive support to people of all ages, abilities and levels of ambition.

Over the years, both Bournemouth and Ferndown have enjoyed being two of the top clubs in Dorset with county champions and record holders. Between both clubs they have had National recognition for achieving National Age Group and Senior Top 8 rankings. Swimmers have continued on to represent Great Britain in both Junior and Senior Internationals.
