Matt Heathcock Head Coach

Matt’s involvement with swimming began at an early age and he competed up to Regional level. At the age of 16 Matt also began teaching swimming, progressing to becoming an Assistant Coach at Eastleigh SC when he was 17 and moving to become a full-time coach at 20.

Matt has worked alongside two Olympic coaches; his father Dave Heathcock and Bob Pay.

In his career to date Matt has been involved with developing County, Regional, National and International swimmers.  He has been the Great Britain Head Coach at three Junior European Open Water competitions and GB Head Coach at two World Junior Open Water events.

His ultimate aim is to coach the very best team and swimmers in the country, whilst also having fun on the journey.
