Wycombe Swimmers Selected for National Duties

Wycombe Swimming is proud to announce a number of its performance swimmers have so far been selected for National duties in 2019. This is a fabtastic achievemnent by them and  recognition of the hard work they have put in. It is a result of the progress of the club under the current coaching team that so many swimmers and coaches are now recognised at a National Level.  Demonstrating that Wycombe District Swimming Club is a place for swimmers to achieve their pottential.

National Team Representation

The following Wycombe District Swimming Club swimmers have so far been selected to represent their country this year:

Josh Williams: selected to represent Wales at the Luxembourg Euro meet at the end of January;

Ceara Barber and Jemima Hall: selected to swim for England in Nice, France, in February at the FFN Golden Tour Meet; WDSC Lead Performance Coach Josh Atkins will also be joining them as a member of the coaching team.

Millie Sansome: selected to swim for England at the LEN (Ligue Europeenne de Natation) Open water Cup in Israel in March;

Ella Dyson: selected to attend Open Water training and competition camp in Majorca as part of the Swim England team in May.

South East Region Representation

Following the Swimming Regional Winter Championships, a team of 24 athletes have been selected to represent the South East Region in January at the Flanders Cup in Belgium.  Of these the 9 are from Wycombe Swimming.

Congratulations go to:

James Baxter, Cameron Brooker, Jemima Hall, Caitlin Mackay, Jamie O’Connor, Jamie Owen, Ben Prosser, Millie Sansome and Josh Williams.

The team will be supported by Wycombe Lead Performance Coach Josh Atkins and team manager Louise Sansome.
