FINA recently released the Masters World Rankings following the completion of the 2018 season. The lists are complied of the 10 fastest times swum in each event in each age group over the course of the year.

Wycombe Swimming's Louise Henley (30-34 age group) has been confirmed as the WORLD NUMBER ONE in the 100 Breastroke. Louise won Gold in the 100 Breastroke at the European Championships (LC) in Slovenia in September, breaking the British Record in doing so. Her fantastic swim of 1.12. 87  puts her 4th in the All Time list of swims in that event and age group.  Louise also ranks 7th in the World in 2018 in the 50m breaststroke (LC), with a time of 34.21.

There is also a Top 10 ranking for Pip Williams in the 55-59 age group for 50m Freestyle following her silver medal at Short Course Nationals in Sheffield in October. Her lifetime best time of 29.65 ranks her 10th in the world in 2018.

Wycombe Masters are all part of the Wycombe #oneteam and could not have done it without the support of all the club. Special mention goes to those other dedicated Masters who train with them, compete with them, and shout very loudly for them. As ever Masters are grateful for the support of the coaching team, in particular Dave Gee who leads the long course training, and Patrick Ahern who works on their sprint skills.
