Our very own Andrew Allum is organising an attempt on the world distance record for ice-cold water swimming (http://www.internationaliceswimming.com/). He is going to attempt 3km - The current record is 2.3km. Andrew will be carrying out this attempt on Sunday 19th January at 10am. at the Wycombe Rye Lido There will be a video recording made for ratification purposes, plus official witnesses and time-keepers. Lena ETU Champion WDSC Master Lena Poulton won GOLD at the ETU Sprint Triathlon Championships at the Strathclyde Country Park last Saturday in the F45-49 age-group. Exiting first out of the water, Lena was untouchable on the bike and run, storming to an impressive victory. The course is a real favourite with the elites and it was easy to see why; the very un-Scottish weather was also a bonus.
