Tier 3 Chairperson Update- 30-Oct-2020

RSWPC Admin
Dear Members

Another quick note to keep you up to date.

Despite the increased restrictions that the move to Tier 3 has brought upon us the club is still continuing to run successfully in all three sectors in some capacity, Swimming, Junior Waterpolo and Senior Waterpolo.

Our Senior Polo players are unable to undertake waterpolo training under the new restrictions as it is a team sport played indoors, however they are allowed to undertake swim training. Whilst this isn’t what they want they have all fully embraced it and no doubt feeling the benefits which will hopefully show in match play when we eventually get back to playing games.

Under 18 Waterpolo is largely unaffected by the latest restrictions but the Coaching and Covid teams are still ensuring safety measures are adhered to.

The swimming section of the club has been run on restricted numbers due to the centre facilities being limited, however this continues to be monitored to ensure we maximise the space available.

It is amazing to see that during these difficult times that all sectors of the club are managing to thrive and that is testament to the support we have from you as members and also the teams behind the club that provide their time free of charge to get us in the water doing the sports we love and excel at. You all have my upmost respect and thanks.

There are some members that we haven’t managed to get back in the pool just yet. Please be assured that we will do as soon as we are able. We thank you for your continued patience.

Finally, I hope all our members and supporters are happy with the work done to get us back into the pool, however if you have any concerns please do not hesitate to let a Coach or Club Officer know of your concerns. We will try to assist wherever possible.

Stay Safe
