Dorset County championships 2023 – Days 1 & 2 Dorset County Championships the first meet of the year took place this past weekend which spans over 6 days which includes all the events in the swimming calendar including heats and finals for the top 8 in each age group in the 50m & 100m Races. Seagulls’ swimmer Edward travelled up to Glasgow to compete at the Scottish age group national championships in which this was his first national standard competition. A busy weekend for the seagulls team which had over 60 swimmers competing at 2 different venues putting the hard work from training into action. DORSET NOVICE LEAGUE ROUND 1 A team of young seagull’s swimmers travelled down to Weymouth on 22nd / 23rd January for round 1 of the Dorset novice league which was hosted with great excitement. Dorset County Swimming Championships Weekend 1 This past weekend Seagulls had a record number of swimmers qualify to race at the Dorset County swimming championships which was being held at Littledown leisure centre in Bournemouth for weekend 1. This event is swam over 4 weekend with the Distance 800m happening this Sunday followed by the second full weekend of racing and then finally the final distance event that is the 1500m.
