Patrick Atkinson

Due to a broken collarbone in 2019, and Covid last year, this was Pat’s first race since the nationals in 2018, where he came fifth; so Sunday’s race was all about getting some racing experience again.

Pat is racing in Youth A, which is a two year age band, Pat being in the younger year this year.

The racing comprised three open water aquathlons, with the two best results counting for Patrick:

  • 800m swim, 1k run
  • 500m swim, 1.5k run
  • 300m swim, 2k run

In the first race, Patrick was 30th out of the water, and 28th at the end of the run.

In the second race, Pat was 22nd out of the water, and 21st at the end of the run.

third race - due to a horrid cough Patrick did not start

Well Done to Both Seagulls members and we look forward to round 2
