Festival of Swimming 2021

Seagulls this past weekend competed at Millfield for the South West regional Festival of Swimming which had Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire counties competing at this event. The other South West regional counties, Devon and Cornwall, competed at the Plymouth Life centre in Plymouth.

Results will be combined to give overall results in the region and also put towards an overall national ranking leaderboard.

Seagulls had an impressive 22 qualifers for this competition based on times gained from the Lvl X events that we have been holding over the past 10 weeks. This was, for a lot of swimmers, their first long course competiton since before the first lockdown and for others their first ever long course experience.

The exprience was amazing to be back on pool deck with all the other clubs, coaches and swimmers getting back to what we love and do best - RACE!

 

Through the whole weekend Seagulls were able to achieve a 90% Long course personal best rate
