ARENA LEAGUE ROUND 1

Seagulls this past weekend flew down to Dorchester for the first round of the national arena league. There were plenty of excited swimmers either who hadn’t race this competition since 2019 and many first-time members of the team.
Due to following Welsh government guidelines as we compete in a league in west region the whole team were to abide by some covid guidance of wearing masks and only having 1 swimmer behind the block at a time. Also, to a few changes with the racing schedule of mixed relays we were unable to take a big team that usually has up to 4 swimmers in age group to 2-3 swimmers per age group.
Despite all this, spirits were high and some excellent racing on show from all swimmers. A lot of lessons learnt as well with 3 DQs on the night to take away to work on in training and come back stronger which is what the league is all about.
Congratulations to our 10 winners on the night
