DORSET NOVICE LEAGUE ROUND 1

A team of young seagull’s swimmers travelled down to Weymouth on 22nd / 23rd January for round 1 of the Dorset novice league which was hosted with great excitement. Many of these swimmers were swimmers who hadn’t raced before or not a lot of experience which makes the gala a perfect starting point for seagulls’ swimmers.

On the night the team were able to the win with lot great racing and cheering from the team. This included many Pbs and 10 x Speeding tickets

 

 

The overall results on the night were:

  3. Weymouth & Swim Bournemouth - 82 points

DORSET CHAMPIONSHIPS DAY 3, 4 & 5

 

 

Day 3 – 800m

 

Day 3 of the Dorset County championships brought the 800m and first of the distance events.

Seagulls had 13 swimmers competing over the 32-length race with plenty more great swimming on show.

 

Racing included:

 9  x PB’s on the day

 

 6 x gold medals 

Kruze Frampton – 800 Fc

Kaden Frampton – 800 Fc

Finley Lock – 800 Fc

Sonny Chamberlain – Hyde – 800 Fc

Bethany Mcwilliam – 800 Fc

Isaac Thring – 800 Fc

Emily Mcwilliam – 800 Fc

 

3  x Club records were also achieved by Finley Lock, Sonny Chamberlain - Hyde & Alex Palotai Avella.

Also, special congratulations to Alex Palotai Avella & Sonny Chamberlain - Hyde winning Male and Female senior titles

 

 

 

Day 4

 

First day of weekend 2 came more success for the Seagulls team with plenty more great racing within the county. Seagulls again had a large team racing throughout the day with some more great swimming on show

Another strong session of swimming from the team came in Day 5 with another 53 swims for the team.
