November Racing All Around The South Of England

This past weekend saw a lot of racing for seagulls’ swimmers competing in various competitions all around the south of the country. We had swimmers competing in 4 different competitions ranging from an open meet, 2 x school galas and the final round of the west hants novice league.
Swim Bournemouth Meet Level 2
The 3-day meet saw 33 Seagulls swimmers compete over the weekend in a high standard level of meet which not only Dorset but Hampshire and Cornwall clubs racing as well to add to that level of competition.

English schools swimming association
A team of 4 seagulls swimmers competed as part of the 5-man Twynham school team that competed at the London aquatic stadium on Saturday. This was made up of the top 30 school teams in the country to race. The team which included seagulls’ swimmers Charles Grant / Liam Stewart / Charlie Twort and Joel Goldsack finished in the following events:
Junior – 4 x 50 Medley Relay – 30th
Junior – 4 x 50 Freestyle Relay – 17th

Independent schools’ association (ISA)
Seagulls had more swimmers competing at school competition this time under Ballard School for the Independent school association in Guildford. Accompanied by seagulls coach Libby Bell the team where able to achieve the following Results:

2 Seagulls Swimmers have qualified at the Nationals on 3rd Dec at The Olympic Park in London.

West Hants Novice League Round 4
Last but no means least is a massive well done to the team that competed on Saturday at 2 Rivers Meet for the West Hants Novice League final round. The team with a great atmosphere and enthusiasm came away with a great win on the night and was able to take away the overall win over the 4 rounds of the league.

3rd – Wildern Waves – 197 points (3 speeding Tickets)

6th – Bassett JSF (1 speeding Tickets)
