Swadlincote Swimming Club was established in 1983, and is a competitive swimming club making use of pools at Greenbank Leisure Centre and Repton School for training and galas. The club is an affiliated Swim England Club. We currently participate in a number of leagues throughout the year along with many ‘friendly’ galas for those swimmers who turn 9 in the year of competition, and all ages upwards.
The aim of Swadlincote Swimming Club is to provide the young people in surrounding areas with an Swim England registered competitive swimming club, and promote the sport of swimming in an excellent environment. Club members are given the opportunity to pursue their goals in the sport of swimming to a level which they aspire, and are capable of achieving. Along with mastering stroke and race techniques and achieving physical fitness, our swimmers will gain confidence, sportsmanship, discipline. They will also learn the value of teamwork and how to cope with success and failure.
We always welcome new swimmers to the club, if you are interested in joining the club we offer regular trial sessions on a Wednesday evening at Greenbank that you can register interest in using the link in the menu above. One of our members will be in touch with you to discuss the next trial evening and book you in!
