Safeguarding

The health, safety and well-being of every swimmer is our main concern; our aim is that swimmers will enjoy their time with us. Safeguarding our swimmers is everybody’s responsibility and we want to work in partnership with you to help all swimmers to achieve their full potential.

To promote a safe environment for swimmers, we follow guidelines set down by Swim England. It includes checks on Coaches', Team Managers' and other volunteers’ suitability including Criminal Records Bureau and reference checks. Further information can be found here https://www.swimming.org/swimengland/wavepower-child-safeguarding-for-clubs/

We have a designated Welfare Officer, who is responsible for all safeguarding matters within the club and you can find the contact details below.
