What is Future Stars?
Swimmers in our Future Stars are looking to develop the necessary skills to be ready to join a competitive swim squad. Using the guidance of coaches to enhance their progression, these swimmers are learning to use equipment (e.g. Pull Buoys; Training Fins; Snorkel etc.) that amplifies their development of competition-specific skills.
Future Stars Goals
To obtain the Stage 8-10 Competitive Swimming Award; Preliminary Competitive Start Award; 200m I.M. Gold Award
To understand the need for setting goals, promoting a positive mentality
To develop values for all walks of life, such as; Perserverance and Commitment, Respect, Self-Respect, Focus, Sportsmanship and Sacrifice
Future Stars Squad Size
20 Swimmers
Sessions per Week (Under Current Restrictions)
Up to 3 sessions, with a minimum of 2, 60 - 90 Minutes Each
Age Range (Guidelines)
7 - 9 Years Old
Monthly Squad Fees
£32.25 per month
Minimum Requirements to Enter Future Stars
Swimmers have completed ASA Stages 1-7
Swimmers have shown potential and talent to go far into the sport
Swimmers must have shown subjective qualities required by the Coach, such as, dedication and respect
