County Championships -  Berkshire and South Buckinghamshire County Championships

 

For many swimmers this will represent the peak of their year. Held each year across two weekends in January with times obtained during the Club Championships or Open Meets generally used for qualification. Qualification Times required are displayed on the Notice Boards and website. Events are swum in gender and age group categories for all strokes.

Inter-County Team Championships  -  Inter-County Champonships

The County Team Champs is always a fun, colourful and competitive event played out in front of a packed house in Sheffield’s Ponds Forge.It kicks off the competitive short course season for many of the swimmers taking part and you can keep up with it all here. More than 900 swimmers compete from 36 counties with races going on in two pools at the same time.

Regional Championships  -  South East Region (Age Group and Youth) Swimming Championships

Held annually normally during the month of May, qualification times (revised each year) must be achieved at a Level 1, 2 or 3 Licensed Open or County Meet. Championships encompass the most talented swimmers from all counties in SE England.  

Winter Regionals are held in November annually and are short course.

National Championships    -  Swim England Championships

The National Summer Meet is Swim England’s biggest domestic swimming event of the year.  The Summer Meet forms part of a swimming competition structure in Great Britain whereby the top ranked swimmers in each event are invited to compete at the British Swimming Summer Championships (normally Top 24) the next ranked swimmers (normally next 20) are invited to their relevant home nations competitions (English, Welsh, Irish and Scottish Nationals).

British Championships   -  British Swimming Championships

The British Swimming Championships are held 3 times a year, April, July (as detailed above) and December. The British Championships attract the best swimmers from England, Scotland and Wales aiming to be crowned British Champion.
