Dear all, After the sad news last week we had to share about our pools not opening we are pleased to say that we have now managed to secure some pool time in August at Crosfield School in Reading. Information on this has been provided to those that registered to swim in August previously. If you did not register but are now interested please see the details below. Dear all, We do hope this email finds you and your families well. As you are aware the government has given the green light for indoor pools to reopen on 25 July. We have been waiting to hear from our pool provider, Legacy, what this means for us. After an update from them on Tuesday, we are very sad to have to tell you that Legacy have made the decision that the pools will not be reopened until mid-September. Day Two in the BSBASA County Championships at Wycombe today and once again NDSC swimmers produced some great pereformances in the pool. Today we added another TEN medals to yesterdays seven. Jamie Leach (200 IM, 200 Fs and 100 Brst) and Kaleb Fox-Jones (50 Bk) collected Gold medals and added County Champions titles to their list with Can Tugcetin (100 Brst) and Charlotte Brown, Eloise Wade (both 50 Brst) and Kostia Riabya (50 Bk) winning Silver medals. Today, we had a very good start to this years County Championships with the club picking up SEVEN medals on day one. New County Champions with four gold medals between them are Jamie Leach (200 Brst and 400 Fs), Can Tugcetin (200 Brst) and Kaleb Fox-Jones (100 Bk). NEWBURY’S swimmers have finished the season in spectacular style with five youngsters qualifying for the national championships. Can Tugcetin and Freya Barlow both qualified for the British National Championships – the first Newbury swimmers to do so since the qualifying format changed – while Can, Abigail Holland and Kaleb Fox-Jones qualified for the English Nationals and Olivia Bevan for the Welsh Nationals.
