Hi everyone For those taking part in the Basingstoke meet, this Sunday and next Sunday, please see the notes below. This is a non-spectator meet so it is important that you make your swimmer aware of the 'rules' and also ensure they have enough food/drink/clothing to last them throughout the day. The last time we were there swimmers did complain it was quite cold so please make sure they take some warm clothes for in between swims. Well done to everyone who took part in Saturday's snowy Thames Valley Junior League gala. It was another great performance from all the young swimmers and another fourth place finish for Newbury. Well done to all of the young swimmers who took part in the first round of the Thames Valley Junior League at Bracknell last weekend. They are currently in fourth place and Newbury looks forward to hosting the next round in March. The club enjoyed a great final weekend at the recent County Championships in High Wycombe. A full report will be in Thursday's Newbury Weekly News and is currently on its website. You can read it by clicking here. There is also a photo gallery on the website. This year Newbury had 42 swimmers qualify for the competition across 229 events. A total of 29 swimmers reached finals, securing 10 golds, 20 silvers and 17 bronze medals. Well done to all the swimmers who took part and here's to more success...
