Nova Centurion’s June Sprint open meet was a fantastic success with 20 swim clubs from as far afield as Oxford making the journey to Harvey Hadden on Jubilee Sunday. The packed program saw 1300 swims over the two sessions for the Level 3 long course event which is a regular fixture in the Nova calendar. Nova swimmers were selected to take part in a special test weekend at the brand-new Sandwell Aquatics Centre in Birmingham. The County Swim Squad returned to the prestigious competition after a 2 year break due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Nova Centurion made headlines after a record-breaking team effort at the British Championships. Performance squad simmer Freya Colbert was crowned new British Champion during an amazing week for our club, claiming gold in the 400IM, silver in the 400m free and bronze in the 200m free.
