GB Selection for Freya Colbert

Congratulations to Freya who has been selected to represent Great Britain at the European Junior Swimming Championships in Kazan, Russia. Freya’s performances in Glasgow earned her a well-deserved place for the Championships which will be taking place in July 2019.

“Freya was Nova's top performer at the British Championships and competed in no fewer than 6 different events. Freya reached an Open final and 2 Transition finals which is incredible given she was one of the youngest swimmers competing. Freya finished 6th in the 400m Freestyle Open final with a new Personal Best time of 4.17.09. Freya also won the Transition final of the 400m Individual Medley with another new Personal Best time of 4.48.41. Freya also finished 5th in her other Transition final in the 200m Individual Medley with a new Personal Best time set in the heats of this event of 2.18.24. Freya's other events saw her finish 11th in the Open age group 800m Freestyle event, 14th in the Junior 200m Freestyle event and 19th in the Junior 100m Freestyle event. To achieve results such as these for a swimmer so young demonstrates the potential Freya has and her call up to the GB European Junior squad is just reward for all her hard work in the training pool.” Well done from all at Nova Centurion!
