Masters Squad              Coach: Cat Borrell

Training Sessions:

This is a coached squad for swimmers over the age of 18 years.  Abilities vary for those that wish to swim for fitness or have just returned to swimming after a prolonged absence, to swimmers that train with the wish to still be competitive in both indoor and open water swimming.  There is a good mix of varying ages and gender in the squad.  Sessions reflect swimming ability, with distances ranging from 1500m to 3000m incorporating all strokes, technique and start and turns.  There are opportunities for additional training sessions to be organised at long course pools at an extra charge.

We have been able to compete at local Open meets, County, Regional and National events and some of our swimmers were also fortunate to compete in the European Championships in 2016 at the London Aquatic Centre.  Last year our team was successful in achieving Best Visiting Club at the Erith District Masters Open Meet and came 5^th in the Kent Masters County Championships.  We had a successful team of eleven swimmers competing at the Short Course National Senior and Masters Meet in Sheffield last October; one of our swimmers came away with 5 medals, one being gold which was a fantastic achievement.
