Woking swimmers headed to Portsmouth last weekend for the South East Winter Short Course Championships, very tired after a late arrival Friday night from the warm weather camp in Cyprus. At these championships there is only one qualifying time for all age groups, making it very tough for the Junior competitors to qualify. Day 1 Hendrik van der Leest (15) was in fine form gaining Junior Silver medals in both 100m Freestyle in 53.96 and 100m Backstroke, setting a PB and New Club Record in the final of 57.58. Well...

Fun Night - Sunday 15th December 2019 Our annual Fun Night and Awards Presentations for our main squads (Cadets upwards) will take place on the evening of Sunday 15th December at Pool in the Park. More details and timings will be provided nearer to the date, but it's always an evening full of lots of laughter, cheering, huge amounts of bribing and quite a lot of cheating! On Saturday 19th of October 2019, Woking Swimming Club were hosts of the Hants and South Coast Junior Cup. Woking were up against the strong opposition of Sutton & Cheam, Croydon, Staines and Haslemere. Good luck to Hendrik van der Leest and Abbi Stemp who are competing for Surrey at the National County Team Championships in Sheffield on Sunday 6th October. Over 900 swimmers from 36 counties compete in a fun, colourful and competitive event with races taking place in two 25m pools at the same time. Woking were hosts for the final round of the Rother League on Saturday night at Pool in the Park. This, the last of three rounds, saw Woking competing against Havant & Waterlooville, Leatherhead, Staines and Sutton & Cheam.
