** NEWS UPDATE ** St Ives at the Junior Fenland League 'A' Final at Boston 19th October,

Final results have now been validated and confirmed and we are proud to annouce that St Ives have moved up a position and came 3rd in our first year in the JFL.

Another team swam a swimmer who was outside the cut-off, resulting in them losing points, which gave us a well deserved 3rd place.
Andy is currently arranging for the 3rd place trophy to come to the rightful owner!
St Ives Swimming Club , 13 years old and Under team participated in the A Final of the Junior Fenland League swimming competition at Boston on Saturday. The team went in ranked fifth and finished fourth THIRD overall in an evening of highly intense racing from all teams concerned. The final results were:
Wisbech: 157
Boston: 130
St Ives: 125
Peterborough A: 121
Thetford: 96
First places for St Ives were:
Mixed 8 x 25 metres cannon freestyle relay (only relay in competition)
Anna Desborough: 100 Individual Medley
Connor Brookes: 50 Backstroke
Tessa Quayle: 50 Freestyle
Harrison Pearson: 25 Butterfly
Elliot Megginson: 50 Freestyle
Amelia Dunn: 50 Butterfly
Harrison Pearson: 50 Breastroke
Elliot Megginson: 50 Backstroke
Emily Quayle: 50 Breastroke
Alfie Everett: 100 Individual Medley
Millie Taylor: 100 Individual Medley
St Ives also took 4 Silver places and 10 Bronze placings in the competition. In our first year of the competition we achieved our objective of making the A final by swimming superbly across the previous rounds in 2019. Many young swimmers competed in their first competition and all gave 100% throughout the event. Excellent swimming by Thomas Sprawson, Isobelle Moore, Michael Wildin, Poppy Warren, Joshua Ward, Marli Taylor, Oliver Dickson, Alfie Reeve, Isabel Martin, Adam Wallis, Olivia Brown, Caitlyn Brown, Ruby O Dell, Grace Iddon, Keira Mavin, Max Lucas, and Libby Woods.
