Swim England As you are aware under Swim England guidance, all indoor or outdoor, private or commercial swimming pools remain closed. As you will all be aware, this week the Government have announced a range of measures to help combat the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). St Ives Swimmers performed magnificently over 3 Weekends of County Championships 2020 with many athletes making finals. All swam superbly, securing many excellent personal best times. The Arena League Final was our last swim of 2019 and a team of SISC swimmers represented age groups from 9 years to seniors. Great swims from all involved, great coaching from Andy, Dale and Sophie and great support as usual from parents cheering them along! An exciting young development team from St Ives Swimming Club participated in the Cambridgeshire County development championships at Whittlesey on 9/10 Nov 19. The second round of the Arena National Swimming League was held at Wellinborough on Saturday 9th November. Teams from Wellingborough (Northants), Norwich (Norfolk), Biggleswade (Bedfordshire), Sherwood Colliery (Nottinghamshire) and St Ives (Cambs) battled out a great competition with the final results: Sherwood Colliery 195, Biggleswade 150, St Ives 149, Norwich B 136 and Wellingborough 112. St Ives had 10 first places, 6 second places and 11 third places. Finishing in third place, only 1 point behind second. A great night of competition was had by all.

Ciara Taylor(14), Chloe Butler(15), Connor Thacker(17), Cathryn Thomson(29), Tom Davis(26), Anna Freeman(15) and Fran Crocker(19) represented St Ives Swimming Club at the Winter Regional Championships at Basildon.
