What is Masters?

Masters swimming is swimming for adults, encompassing the whole range of ability from casual fitness swimming to highly organised competitive swimming. The only requirement is that you are at least 17 years old and can swim a minimum of 1500 freestyle metres in an hour.

Here at Sevenoaks Swimming Club, we have a very active Masters section that includes ex-Junior squad members wanting to continue their swimming with Sevenoaks, members who swam as a junior and want to start all over again, along with adults who have learnt to swim in ‘later’ life and want to benefit from the structure of a club session.

Some of the squad compete in local and national Masters events, some use it to train for other events such as Triathlon or Channel swims; we have an active open water section but most use it as a way to keep fit.

Please check the session timetable here.

How Can I Get Involved?

Just contact us via email - and we'll send you further information. You’re also welcome to come down to a Wednesday ‘taster’ session to see how you get on. Again, just contact us via email to let us know you’re coming down.
