Learn to Swim Classes (LTS)
Stevenage Swimming Club lessons offer the starting point for children wanting to progress to club level swimming.
Lessons are available for children aged 4 years and upwards and are structured to cover a mixture of abilities. Swimmers are assessed and tested regularly with the aim of achieving an award. All awards are based upon the Swim England National Teaching plan and all teachers are fully qualified to Swim England Teacher Level 2 (or Assistant Teacher Level 1 if supervised). Swim England qualified teachers provide:
- Lessons for water-confident children from 4 years and upwards
- Swim England influenced levels of lessons
Lessons consist of a weekly 30-minute session run from Stevenage Swimming Centre. We are currently operating a temporary timetable due to Covid restrictions, however sessions usually run on:
- Friday evenings at 7:00pm, or
- Sunday evenings at 5:30, 6:00, 6:30 & 7:00pm
Our LTS Programme and swim squads are popular, and depending upon availability, you may be placed on a waiting list prior to joining. You may, therefore, be invited to trial but still need to wait until a space becomes available in the appropriate group for you.
