When can your child join Shark? 

We are a competitive swimming club, and to join your child must have taken swimming lessons.

Before joining, your child must be 8 years old, have completed the highest level of their learn-to-swim program, be able to swim at least 50m freestyle continuously and have knowledge of backstroke and breaststroke. 

 Due to ongoing limited lane availability and scheduling constraints,  we can only offer assessments to new swimmers aged 11 and younger.  If you are transferring from other club you can email [email protected] with your times.

We usually hold assessments at the beginning of each term: September, January and April. However this is dependent on availability.

At the assessment, your child will be asked to:

• Swim 50m Freestyle easily with good stamina and technique.
• Good technique and ability with Breaststroke and Backstroke.
• Familiarity with Butterfly
