Joining the Club
Dunfermline Amateur Swimming Club is always happy to hear from new swimmers whether they have been a member of a swimming club before or are members of another club looking for a change.
Our squads are structured to encourage progress and develop swimmers of varying abilities. The minimum requirement for our beginners "Dolphins" squads is to be 5 years old and be able to swim a minimum of 5 metres unaided.
Please note that some squads operate a waiting list so there may be a wait until a place can be offered.
Becoming a Member:
If you have any questions about joining DASC please email [email protected]
For swimmers under the age of 18: If you and your child decide they would like to join, your swimmer will be asked to come for a trial (usually the last Friday of a month at 6.30pm in Carnegie Leisure Centre) to ensure we place the swimmer in the right squad for their ability. You will need to fill out this trial form before coming to the trial. This form simply captures the swimmer's details; name, age, DoB, swimming ability and any lessons or club experience.
After the trial, the Squad coaches will advise which squad is appropriate and the Membership Secretary will contact you with joining details or to let you know if there is a waiting list for your squad.
For adult swimmers: We have a Master Swimmers squad. They swim with the Platinum Squad and the session times can be found here. You are welcome to come along to a masters session to see what it is about and if it what you are looking for prior to joining to the club. Please fill in the Masters trial form to arrange this.
