Training
Swimmers should arrive on poolside 10-15 minutes before the start of a swim session. This will allow time for a shower, stretching and will prevent injury; ensure you do the stretches correctly. Arriving early will also ensure that everyone can start the session at the same time and together. So that all the catch-up news from school etc. can be out of the way.
Parents should try when they can to be available poolside and note that swimmers MUST NOT be dropped off and left without checking first that the training session is on. Occasionally unforeseen circumstances have caused the cancellation of the session at short notice. Any notification will be issued via OnDeck.
Parents should arrive at least 5 minutes before the end of session either on poolside or in foyer. This is in the interests of the swimmers safety so that the coach will know that all swimmers have been picked up. The coaches responsibility ends at the end of the training session, not 15 minutes later.
Swimmers if you know that you are going to miss a session regularly please let the coach know and email [email protected]
Swimmers most of all remember to respect your coaches and poolside helpers (they are volunteers), listen, learn and have fun!
