Gold Squad

The Gold squad are our top "managed" squad level. These swimmers focus on improved performance and stamina to allow them to swim competitively.

Swimmers should be 10 years or over, able to follow complex instruction, have a solid knowledge of lane discipline and be able to use aids such as a pace clock (without assistance). Gold swimmers should be able competent in all 4 strokes, and meet/exceed 100m sprint time as set out by the club. Swimmers should have knowledge of and be able to execute start, turns and finishes for all 4 strokes, and demonstrate advanced diving skills. Gold swimmers should have a good understanding of the drills used within each session and why they are used. Gold Squad swimmers should have a sound knowledge of the rules of swimming as set out by FINA.

  • Monday 20:30-21:30 @Carnegie Leisure Centre
  • Wednesday 20:00-21:30 @Carnegie Leisure Centre

  • Friday 20:00-21:30  @Carnegie Leisure Centre

 

Strength & Conditioning

  • Wednesday 1800-1900 hrs @ Pitreavie Athletics Centre

 

Once a month this Saturday training will be replaced by a 2-hour 50m pool session at either Stirling University or Michael Woods, Glenrothes please see dates and times on the events section.

Competition:

The Gold squad swimmers encouraged to enter Fife Leagues and to represent the club at other age and performance appropriate events throughout the year. We also encourage all Swimmers to take part in our own gala held in May or June of each year and our club championships in October/November.
