About Stowmarket Swimming Club
Stowmarket Swimming Club is Mid Suffolk’s only competitive swimming club with a long history of producing high quality swimmers at International, National, District, County and Club levels. We compete in several leagues, and regularly attend galas and open meets both locally and nationally. Our club colours are blue and yellow swimming hats and swimmers are expected to wear these when representing the club.
The Club is run by volunteers with the exception of the Head Coach who is a paid professional. We have an elected Management Committee who over see the day to day running of the club, and various sub-committees who deal with issues such as finance, Swim 21.
The Club’s success is made possible by its volunteers, who devote hours every week, to keep the club running. Every member of the club is completely commited to making every swimmer and the club a success. If you are interested in joining the volunteers (it’s much more fun at Galas when you have a job to do!) Please contact us
The aim of the Club has always been to promote and encourage participation in competitive swimming at all levels and for all age groups. This aim also means that swimmers become able to survive water accidents more easily from an early age. Our youngest members are toddlers, and there is no upper age limit.
Stowmarket Swimming Club is affiliated to Swim England
