Mission Statement The Bridport Barracudas Swimming Club is first & foremost a competitive swimming club, offering children/adults in our community the chance to learn to swim and compete in galas locally, through to National opportunities. Although we are a club that offers a full learn to swim programme, our goals and aspirations are to develop athletes beyond a normal commercial swim school. We therefore do not actively promote our learn to swim programme as anything other than the foundation towards competitive swimming. We are a non-profit making club and rely totally on the support & contribution from volunteers who are prepared to give their time to the club 100% free and who share our goals and aspirations. We seek the parents/guardians of our members to support the club actively & in the same way that our voluntary workforce provides opportunities to the swimmers. We actively promote Swim England and SwimMark, believe in their ethics and abide by their governance. We believe in sportsmanship, fair play & equal opportunity. This in turn leads to excellence, motivation, self esteem, teamwork & discipline. We welcome all to our club who believe in our mission statement and will sign post those who do not.
