Join Coach JAN for a Christmas Bake-off making MINCE PIES
on Saturday 19th December 2020 at 11am.
Entry fee: Suggested donation of £3 
 ALL proceeds going to THE FRIENDLY FOOD CLUB
Our club has been very lucky to receive so much support to help get us back to swimming.
We would like to give back to our local community during these difficult times for so many.

Please put your cash donation in a sealed envelope (named or unnamed) 
3 Place your envelope in your coach's squad collection box at training
4 You will be notified ASAP of your Zoom place.
  • Suggested donation is £3, but please feel free to donate ANY amount you would like.
  • Your coaches will have a box at training sessions over the next week for you to drop in your envelope (Covid-safe!)
  • Donations by Friday 18th December please.
  • We have a limited number of spaces available to join the livestream with Jan!
  • Don’t delay, book today to receive your Zoom live link.
  • There will also be a video recording of the session available afterwards in case we run out of spaces.
  • If you prefer to wait for confirmation of a Zoom place before donating, that's fine!


WHAT IS The Friendly Food Club?

  • The Friendly Food Club is a local not-for-profit organisation, often working with Food Banks in Poole and the wider area, with a focus on supporting education, nutrition and healthy eating for families.
  • They create bright yellow recipe bags containing pre-weighed and measured ingredients for families to follow a cookery class or video demonstration to learn new skills to make budgeted, healthy meals. 
  • Children are a big focus for the group’s work.
  • The group is very highly regarded for their work in supporting local people.

350g/12oz high quality mincemeat, preferably homemade
200g/7oz plain flour, sifted
40g/1½oz golden caster sugar 
75g/2¾oz ground almonds
125g/4½oz unsalted butter, diced
1 large free-range egg, beaten
Milk, to glaze
Icing sugar for decoration
