Incredible News

We would like to offer a huge well deserved congratulations and are super proud to announce that we have another swimmer competing in the Tokyo Olympics.

Leo McCrea aged 17 has qualified for Switzerland for the Para Olympics held in Tokyo from 24 August to 5th September 2021.

Leo started his journey with Poole Swimming Club and was nurtured by coaches Kate, Maralyn and the late Jean Holland, shaping his skills with coach Becky Dowling, before joining Bournemouth Collegiate School and for sixth from attending Mount Kelly School.

Leo has regularly trained with Poole Swimming Club during the holidays and will be guided by coaches Barry and Jan for the remaining time before he attends the preparation camp with Swiss Swimming in Bern prior to heading to the Games.

Leo has qualified and will compete in the 100m Breaststroke,  200m IM, 400 Freestyle and 100m Freestyle

We are so pleased for Leo, a World Championship finalist in LONDON 2019.   We along with his family are beaming with pride.

What a swimming family, Leo's sister Jasmine represented GB at junior level on two occasions, too.

We offer a well done to the coaches and clubs that have worked with Leo on his pathway to the top of Para- Swimming.

Well done Leo!
