21st – 23rd OCTOBER 2023

There was an exciting wealth of National and International talent on-show at the Chelsea & Westminster + Millfield International Open meet. Just some of the noteworthy athletes who raced were Jacob Peters, Kieran Bird, Cameron Brooker, Ed Mildred, Matthew Ward, Emily Large, Edward Marcal Whittles, Nick Finch and Jonathan Adam.

For most of our swimmers, this meet provided a chance to experience a high level short course meet at the start of the 2023/2024 season. It also gave our top swimmers the experience of racing in A or B finals which ran exclusively each evening. The meet also offered an opportunity to educate our swimmers on racing in a range of events.

The team stayed at Millfield enjoying the catering and the relaxing setting of a boarding house, to go to between heats and finals

Lead coaches Barry and Jan were keen to bring the “A” Squad together for this 3-day event and being able to stay onsite in one of the boarding houses at Millfield School worked extremely well. Our sincere thanks go to the hosts from Chelsea and Westminster SC for running such a quality meet. The team camaraderie was terrific, and we were thrilled to be complemented by other clubs for displaying such a great team spirit.
