Weston-super-Mare Swimming Club was founded in 1880, so has a very rich history which includes several Olympians. It uses qualified teachers and coaches for its Learn to Swim Programme which follows the Learn to Swim Teaching Framework, as well as a competitive swimming ethos led by a Head Coach and assistants. There is also a Masters Section, as well as a strong water polo section incorporating mini, junior, women's and men's teams.

  • Developed in the behavioral traits of a role model, not only for the benefit of younger squads, but also for the good of the club and swimming as a universal sport.

  • Challenged constantly whilst learning to develop a mindset to accept challenges with openness.
  • Taught to always do their personal best by embracing commitment and hard work will both will be rewarded.
