SwimMark Club

Coronavirus update

Our home pool, Meadowlands, has now reopened, so we are able to admit new members.  If you or your child are interested in joining, please get in touch with us.  We will be very happy to discuss the options.

How to join

You don't have to be a good swimmer to join!  We'll make you a better one and you'll have fun in the process.  (That's the whole point.)  If you are able to swim at least 25 metres front crawl, breaststroke and backstroke, we'd love to meet you.  In terms of the Learn to Swim stages, most children join when they have completed Stage 6 but some are ready before then, at Stage 5.

Masters swimmers: as long as you are over the age of 18 years and can swim four lengths (100m) continuously, there is space for you.  Simply swim for fun and fitness, or work towards being a competitive swimmer: there is expertise within the club, from short distance swimming to triathlon, and a friendly environment to help you reach your goals and more.

We welcome disabled swimmers.

Get in touch with us on [email protected] .  Sam Lake, our membership secretary, or Caroline Furze will be happy to answer your questions and will invite you along for a no-obligation free trial.

The only equipment you need to start is:

  • A swimming costume
  • Goggles
  • A towel
  • A drinks bottle.

Fees start at £28/ month for one x 1hr session per week, plus a £26 joining fee.  They are set out in full here.  Or click here for the full membership pack, including the membership form.  The club’s bank account details are Tavistock Swimming Club; 40-44-05 (HSBC); account number 61145061

Unsure?  Why not get in touch for a chat and a free trial anyway?  Or, if you see us at the pool, come and say hello.
