Swim England South-West have announced their Regional Award Winners for 2022 and our head coach James Lake has won Coach of the Year! Huge congratulations to James, for this fitting recognition of his hard work, dedication and coaching skills. The presentation ceremony had to be cancelled, as it fell during the period of national mourning following the sad death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, but we hope he will be presented with his award very soon. Very many congratulations to club members Lamorna and Sam on competitive achievements in the last couple of weeks. Lamorna took part in the National Tetrathlon Championships, both as a South-West team member and as an individual. It was her first national tetrathlon competition and she achieved an impressive third place, both as an individual and for the team. Well done, Lamorna! Meanwhile, this week at the World Aquathlon Championships in Samorin, Slovakia, Sam took the title of World Aquathlon Champion in her age group, winning by over 30 seconds. Awesome...

Last weekend was the final weekend of the summer regional age group championships. We had seven swimmers taking part, in a total of 22 events. They swam their hearts out: plenty of personal best times achieved and two finals reached. A huge congratulations to all seven swimmers and a massive thank you to James and the team managers: it wouldn't be possible without them.

Rory & Lamorna travelled to Leicestershire at the weekend for the National Finals of the Pony Club winter triathlon (shoot, run, swim). Lamorna, despite having been ill with Covid-19 all week and still feeling below par, achieved a fantastic 4th place individually, with her team coming 5th overall. Rory also put in a great performance, coming 7th individually with PBs in the swim and run and a prize for the best swim in his class. Huge CONGRATULATIONS to both of them. Very many congratulations to Hannah Walker who was Top Youth and Top Overall Swimmer at the City of Plymouth Gala 2021. Presentations were made at the Lord Mayors' Parlour this afternoon. Well done, Hannah - we hope you enjoyed the ceremony!

15 swimmers competed at the Devonport Bonfire Bonanza gala today and Coach Izzy said there were some cracking swims! Many competed for the first time ever and ALL did TSC proud, with great attitudes, smiling faces and 100% commitment to their swims. Well done swimmers and thank you parents and team managers who made it all possible!

Wishing JJ and Hannah the best of luck from all at TSC as they travel to Millfield to compete at the South West Winter Championships this weekend. Both swam personal best times in their events at recent meets to qualify for these championships where they will be competing alongside top swimmers from clubs around the south west.
