Our Club is Open to New Members
We are currently accepting enquiries for Club levels, Pre-Squad through to Performance. If your child (aged 6-18) has completed Swim England Level 6 (Development) or Level 4 (Pre-Squad) and is interested in joining, please read below for details of our Club squads and Pre-club scheme. UPDATE 22 NOVEMBER 2023 - Please note that any new enquiries received will not be assessed until 2024. We have a short waitlist of 4-6 weeks for Club Trials (12+ with 4 legal, efficient strokes) and Development assessments (swimmers 6-12 who have completed level 6 and above) and a 6-8+ month waitlist for swimmers currently in lesson Levels 4-6. Please fill in the form for your swimmer(s) and we will place them on the appropriate waitlist or we will let you know that they are not yet experienced enough to join TSC. There is no waitlist for Performance and Competitive Squads - we will offer a trial ASAP.
You should receive an email copy of your enquiry form and we will endeavour to acknowledge your enquiry within a week (longer during school holidays). We will advise the next steps and if you are unsure of your child's level, we will be in touch to discuss further.

Our Club Groups
Performance Swimmers (present and former)
Teddington Swimming Club would be pleased to hear from Competitive Swimmers with experience in a Swim England Club or equivalent overseas. Please provide details of your child's Swim England membership number in the Enquiry form (link above) so that swim times can be checked against Swim England Ranking. To join our Performance Squad, swimmers are likely to have qualified for County or Regional Competition in the past.
We'll get in touch via e mail to arrange a Trial with the relevant Performance Squad.
Non-competitive swimmers age 12+ (Club/fitness swimming)
Non-competitive swimmers 12 & over with efficent strokes who are looking for swimming to support other sports or fitness swimming will trial for our CLUB Squads. Please fill out the Enquiry form above and we'll get in touch to arrange a trial with our Club Squad.
Club Squad trials are at Pools on the Park, Richmond usually Saturday 7:30pm
Developing swimmers age 6-12 - Development and Pre-Club
If your child is looking for a pathway to competitive swimming the TSC Development squads and Pre-Squad offer several routes:

Our Pre-Club teaching scheme is for water confident 6-11 year olds who can at minimum swim basic front crawl, back stroke and breaststroke but need to develop their technique further and learn and butterfly before progressing to Development Squads.
- Our Develoment Squads are for swimmers aged 6-12 who have four legal, efficient strokes and range from an introduction to club/squad swimming (for those who have completed Pre-Squad) through to competitve development (for those ready to compete with the aim to transition into perfomance).
Please fill out the enquiry form via the link above with all available information about your swimmer's current abiilty. It is often unclear whether the swimmer is ready for the Development or if they should start in Pre-Squad. Stages / levels vary widely between swim schools and within other clubs. We will arrange a trial for any swimmer looking to join the Development squad and may refer them to Pre-Club if their strokes first need refinement. If they are ready for Development we will advice on the approproate starting squad.
Development trials and assessments are held during training sessions usually on Saturday, early evenings at Teddington Pool.
