Squad Aims & Objectives

To provide competitive swimming training structure for those 13+ who:

  • cannot commit to the focused intensity of the Performance squads
  • wish to train and compete in club, county development and open meets
  • are seeking to progress to competitive swimming at a high level
  • swimming may complement training for other sports
  • wish to maintain a high fitness level, but may not wish to compete

Club Setup

Swimmers in Club Squad have the option of training for two or three sessions a week. The two weekend sessions are for everyone in the squad (Club 2) and then if swimmers wish to do another session they have the option of attending a Thursday morning (Club 3).

Kit List

Swimmers in Club Squad must have the following kit at all sessions:

  • Teddington Red, Black or White Hat (plus a spare in their bag)
  • Kickboard
  • Fins (must not be these Speedo ones, the Maru ones are the best around)
  • Pullbuoy
  • Drinks Bottle

The club has a small supply of equipment and if you wish to order any you can do so on the club website here
