TSC Covid 19 Protocol Update January 2022

Mitigating Risks of COVID-19

As always, our priority is the duty of care to all our members and coaching team so we will continue to monitor the situation regarding Covid and the effect on the Club.

To help keep TSC members safe, swimmers should not go to training if you:

  • are experiencing any coronavirus symptoms,
  • are self-isolating as a result of positive PCR/Lateral flow test,

Please email your coach and [email protected] if any of the above apply to inform them that you won’t be at training for the period of your isolation giving details of the last training session which was attended.

Please ensure you have a negative test before coming back to training.

If a household member has tested positive or is isolating, swimmers attending training should check they are negative via a Rapid Lateral Flow test prior to training.

The main symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are:

  • a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
  • a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
  • a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
  • If you have any of these symptoms, get a PCR test (test that is sent to a lab) to check if you have coronavirus and stay at home until you get your result, even if the symptoms are mild.

We are updating our policy so that you no longer need to miss training as a result of sharing a house with a confirmed case of COVID-19 or sharing a household with somebody with symptoms.
