YOUTH SQUAD

Focus on attaining skills, speed and stamina to follow swimmer pathway from advanced through to meet criteria for senior competition squad

• AGE GROUPS:  11-17
• SESSIONS: 1 x 2hr plus 2 x 1hr sessions per week
• AIM:  Improve skills and stamina on all four strokes. Level 3+ competitions, maintain swim times portfolio working towards level 2 and entry to senior squad.. All distances, target county times.

COMPETIONS FOR YOUTH SQUAD

Team Competitions - such as Cotswold League. Teams are selected for these Competitions, and posted on the Web site in good time. If you are selected for a Competition, then you should make every effort to compete in it, and tick your name at the earliest opportunity.

Open Competitions such as the Somerset Development, Clevedon and Chard Open and other level 3 galas. These Competitions usually (but not always) have qualifying times for each event, and if you qualify you may enter - ask your coach for advice. 

Club Championships – All distances for all strokes. You should enter as many as you can – and your coach thinks suitable.
