Watford Swimming Club would like to welcome swimmers of all abilities to the Club.
Our goal is to become ‘A Club for All’ where we teach to the ability, not the disability.
We will continue to make “reasonable adjustments” in line with The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (DDA) to provide equal opportunities to all swimmers.
All swimmers attend a trial held by the Head Coach, which will allow each swimmers ability to be assessed. At this point our coaches will identify the appropriate training format that best suit the individuals needs and identify which squad is most appropriate.
In the event that the Club is not equipped to accommodate a swimmer due to their level of disability within our mainstream sessions, all efforts will be focused in identifying an alternative swimming programme, organisation or club that can assist.

Our coaches are continually seeking appropriate courses to better equip the Club in supporting disability in swimming.
