I joined Dolphins in 1987 as a parent along with my husband David and quickly became recruited to record results at Galas, all on paper in those days! Eventually joining the committee I took up the role of treasurer in 1996, however I feel it is now time to move on and I will be handing over the treasurer role later in 2020. I still assist with all aspects of club administration on a day to day basis as well as the organisation of Time Trials / Club Championships and our annual Open Meets. I am a member of the County (Notts ASA) Swimming Committee and involved in the organisation of all County events. In addition I support my husband helping with organising competitions at Regional level. At National level I can often be found working as a volunteer 'Front of House'. I was honored with the Presidency of Notts ASA in 2016 and received the Regional award for 'Services to Aquatics' in 2018. |

My name is Francesca McCann. I am a business owner from Chesterfield, where I run Francesca's Recruitment. I have been involved with swimming for numerous years, as a parent and as a committee member for my son’s previous club.
My Son joined Worksop College around 18 months ago, so as a family we decided to have a trial at Worksop Dolphins, we have never looked back.
The team at the Dolphins are very friendly and welcoming, the coaching staff are without doubt the best around and it has made the transition here so easy.
I have a background in Marketing, Finance and Business, and hope to use this knowledge and experience during my time at the club. I hope to propel the club to where it wants to be using influence and perhaps embracing innovation. I hope to bring forward a fresh and new way of thinking, so the future of the club can be as bright as its historic past.
