Westhill District Amateur Swimming Club is a competitive swimming club, part of South Aberdeenshire Swimming, Scottish Swimming and is based at Westhill Swimming Pool in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
The club is accredited by Scottish Swimming’s SwiMark scheme.
WDASC was started in 1993 as a non-profit making club dedicated to the improvement of local swimmers. Since then the club has gone from strength to strength and has become one of the most successful clubs in the Scottish North District. WDASC is reliant on parent volunteers consisting of Coaching Staff, Committee Members, Fundraising Groups, Qualified Technical Officials and Parent Helpers to support swimmer progression in training and competition. The detail of parental requirements can be located in the Volunteer Matrix found in the Join Us section.
Our club is committed to the promotion of excellence in swimming and the fostering of a sense of individual and team achievement within a competitive yet supportive environment. We aim to provide the opportunity for all members to pursue their goals and aspirations to the best of their ability within a safe and fair environment.
Squad Structure
The club is structured into 5 training squads plus the Fitness Squad.
There is a Lead Coach who oversees all squads.
Swimmers usually join the Westhill Entry Squad and move up progressively to our senior Platinum Westhill Squad.
Swimmers showing the necessary skills and commitment may be invited for some additional training in the form of South Aberdeenshire Development, Junior and Joint Platinum Squads.
Every member of WDASC is also automatically a member of SAS.
