Membership

What can you expect by joining our club?

The club is able to provide children with opportunities and facilities to learn and develop technique, fitness and experience to swim competitively at all levels. Of course, we cannot guarantee selection for the next Olympics but with determination, hard work and commitment from the swimmer the club has the structure and coaches to take members to the highest levels in the sport.

How to Join

We are always happy to welcome new members to the club.

Entry to any of the squads is by trial only.

For more established swimmers who may wish to join us, a trial can be arranged with the most appropriate squad.

Membership Fees

Westhill District ASC is one of the few clubs left in the district that still covers all Meet entry costs for all of our swimmers.

It is expected that our meet entry costs will increase next year as our swimmers continue to improve along with increasing meet entry fees. There is also the expected rise in associated pool hire costs due to the extra training time this season.

As you will realise this increasing expense is not sustainable and in order for WDASC to continue to subsidise these costs and not have to go down the route of other ND clubs and ask parents to also cover all their swimmers meet entry costs, there has been a slight increase in our squad fees.

This increase has been kept to a minimum as the club has been extremely grateful to have been given a substantial sponsorship deal from Enquest but this alone will not cover all the costs involved in running a very successful club.

Our Club Membership fees consist of an annual membership fee and squad term fees which are payable monthly by Standing Order.

Fees vary for each squad dependant on the amount of training sessions available increasing from Entry Squad to Platinum Squad.

Members are also required to be a member of Scottish Swimming (SASA). This membership fee is collected annually in January.

The Membership and squad fees will be collected by Standing Order based on a 12 month payment plan. The first payment being the highest in order to collect the Annual Membership Fee with the following 11 months based on the remaining balance due.

This payment plan may be required to be adjusted during a financial year to reflect any individual swimmer’s squad change or changes in the fee structure.
